A self-motivator with over 20 years of manufacturing and warehousing experience.  Highly organized, detail oriented, motivates employees to be proud of their work and enjoys the added role of being their teacher and mentor.  Uses human relations skills to bring out the best in each employee.

EMPLOYMENT

Triumph Learning, Littleton, MA 10/2012 – 07/2014

Warehouse Manager

Managed all aspects of a warehouse/fulfillment operation including managing the warehouse employees, inventory and quality control, set making, picking, packing, returns, shipping and receiving. Responsible for the interviewing and hiring of new employees, conducting annual performance reviews, job training, job safety, and the handling of any necessary disciplinary actions. Negotiated the best price and service with outside suppliers and the transportation carriers to minimize company expenses without compromising the company’s set standards. Whenever necessary, willingly worked alongside the warehouse employees picking and packing orders.

Within the first seven months of employment and after assessing the warehouse floor plan, was able to reduce labor costs by 30%.  This reduction in labor was due to the development of a more efficient floor plan, a set of performance metrics and cross training.  In addition to this redesign, motivated employees to develop a “team first” attitude reducing the order turnaround times to customers and reduced customer reported errors by 93%.  Maintained a monthly customer order accuracy of 99.985%.  Other efficiency improvements were the redesign of the 70,000 sq. ft. warehouse layout to reduce order picking times, and increase productivity, the creation of Performance Metrics Standards, and a format to track employee output. Also designed and implemented a monthly Bonus Program based on metric standards, accuracy, quality control, and attendance.
